Alone With Yenni

Its a SAT and I have NO plans....

I thought it will be good to spend the day alone. Alone days are nice, where you get to do things well... ALONE.

You need not have to consider others feelings, need not have to give in to others demands, need not have to strike conversations, need not have to wait for others, need not have to compromise.

In return, you

Get to go where you like, Do what you want, Eat what you desire, At your own Pace and Interest.

In the end, I went to the NATAS fare, browsed the different Tour packages, Bought my Travel Insurances.

TIP: It is always good to buy travel insurance at NATAS as they have such good discounts!

I went for a foot Reflexalogy session myself, Had Carrot Cake and Latte at Coffee Bean as well...

It was nice to spend the SAT ALONE and even nicer to see my husband when i picked him up from work that Night... :)

Before Delivery

Think About This People...

If you are Pregnant and About to give Birth (ETA in one week), What are the things you would like to do before you face Labour at the brink of Dawn, None ceasing Harresment, 1 month of "House Arrest" and BO, GINGER, as one's staple, Etc...???

Well, I would:

1) Stuff myself with Glorious Food - Italian/Western/Chinese (Maybe)/Japanese/Korean (Bring them on!)

2) Drink Coke

3) Catch a Movie/Go Karaoke/Go East Coast for a Walk

4) Shop

********************************************************

It was Mel's last day at Work. She is going for her Maternity. Baby Shermain is due on the 23rd of this month.

We Brought her to TOGI - a Korean outlet at Mosque St.
Look at the spread of food that we feed her!

Pregnant Mel, enjoying her food!

After Dinner Entertainment was a 3 Hrs Karaoke Session @ Party World!

Look at the Room Size! Such indulgence for a party of 8 only....

The Heavily Pregnant Mel singing away... (Its Obvious she is enjoying herself!)

Cham Whore!

My Favourite Pic of the Night!

It was 2.30am when we wrapped up our Karaoke session.

I Headed to Havelock Link's Bak Kut Teh to meet my Husband. He had just finised a session at Phuture and was having Supper with his Buds.

I Saw there....

Fiona Xie with David Gan and Ong Ai Leng.

Sorry, no pics... I was feeing embarrass to get photos with them...

Verdict: Fiona Xie is really pretty. Ong Ai Leng wears too much make up and David Gan has put on some weight....

Well... I satisfying Friday night coupled with some star gazing...

I Can Feel the Earth Move Under my Feet....

Its about 7.15pm...

I was working hard, fully engrossed with the activities going on in my Computer Screen
Then my colleagues cried: Yenni, do you feel the building shaking!?"

I paused and felt slight tremors. I was getting a bit Giddy as a matter of fact.
I see the pot of plant swaying left-right-left right.... Scarry...

3 of us dashed out of the offfice, into the lift and we made it to the ground floor and out of the Building.

Many others were evacuation the Building.

My Colleagues and i stood at the grass patch below our building. I was starring at the building, srutinising any further movements....

Many were on their Hand phones, calling friends citing what they have experienced.

After a 20mins wait, there were no further tremors. It was back to work...

The tremors were the cause of a 8.2 mafnitude Earth Quake off the West Coast of Sumatra.

Thank God we do not have Earth Quakes in Singapore!.

Someone Impt - Used to be Someone Impt.

I was at the Singapura Eye Clinic @ Gleneagles for my Half Yearly Routine Check-Up.

And i Saw...

MEGAWATI SUKARNOPUTRI....

Indonesia's Ex-President in Singapore for an Eye Check-Up.

Well, Such Coincidence.

I think i would be more excited should i saw Lee Hsien Long, or Nicole Kidmen...

(Have i mentioned that I find PM Lee relatively cute, Hmm...)

Jaslyn Wedding

There is not going to be Weekend 3/3. I have decided not to write about it...

8th Sept 07 - Jaslyn's Customary

I am so HAPPY to see this Friend of mine get Married!

I am so HAPPY to be participating in this Wedding - though I was relatively stressed up in the evening being the co-ordinator.

I was like a Headless Chicken wearing slippers running in Conrad.
So "UN-GLAM"!

There were quite a couple of hick-ups...

1) The man designated to mend the LCD was not there, I had to BEG the Banquet manager for 1 more helper.
2) For a moment, the photo albums went missing.
3) The projector was not doing well.
4) It was 6.30pm and the sword bearers have not rehearsed. Cocktail was to start at 7pm!
5) The Music for the March In could not be looped. It had to be manually done.
6) 7.20pm and the Express Highlights have not arrived.
8) The bag of Corsages was missing.
9) I was suppose to be the Receptionist but i could not find time to do that as there were too many loose ends to tie.

Being the Perfectionist and Kan Cheong Spider that I am,
I tell you, I nearly Choked and Die....

But God is GOOD...

The night went on Beautifully and the WINE - the Wine was Good.

The Speech the couple gave was so moving that I saw glisters in some of the Guest's eyes...

The Bride was so Beautiful.... Many were raving about her Fantastic Figure and Beautiful Back.

**ROLL EYES** **JEALOUS**
Heng, my husband say that I AM THE MOST BEAUTIFUL!
- in his eyes....

The Sword Bearing Ceremony was the 1st i had ever witnessed. Very GRAND!
(not to mentione that the Sword Bearers themselves were rather Cute.... **Wink Wink**)

The Bridal Suite - 2801, was Simpy lovely! The Paralines in the Suite were mouth watering.

Service at the Table was BERI BERI Good. Well, After all its Conrad.

Some Pics from my Horrible (under-statement) Photography.....

The only Regret.... In the midst of all the Merry Making - I lost the Small Solitair Ring that my Grandma gave me for my 21st Birthday.

My heart still aches thinking of it. I called Conrad "Lost and Found", but they say no one returned it.

Please pray together with me that some Kind Soul will return it to me, its rightful owner...

Sorry i have not been blogging.

(Heavy Sign)

However, the weekend was packed as well... (in a good sense)

Friday Night (31st Aug07)

I am a HUGE Steamboat Fan... Serious!

After trying many steamboats around Singapore, 2 places that have kept me returning are:

1) Parkway Steamboat (At the Foodcout of Parkway Parade and at the Food court of Roxy Shopping Center/Mercure Hotel)

- Half Chicken stock and Half Tom Yam
- A la Carte

2) Xian(1) De (2) Lai(2) Shanghainese steamnboat (Liang Seah St.)

- I usually go for the half spicy chicken broth and half Chicken/Pork stock.
- Buffet style

So Firday night Buffet @ Xian(1) De(2) Lai(2) with my colleagues:

Left to Right (Grace, Luisa, Jolene, Moi and Mel)

Now you see it,

Now you don't!

YUMMY!

Super Fulfilling.

Have i told you guys that i have wanted a tattoo for myslf for the longest time.

Jolene, Luisa, Grace and myself heades for the Tattoo palour after dinner. It was not a sudden decision, but something that was carefully planned for a long time.

We headed to Far East PLaza.

All of us were having Cold feet.

However, Luisa and Jolene braced themselves and the result is:

***LUISA***

(After)

Well.. it was a piece of cake for her..... ( I think she is really very BRAVE!)

***Jolene***

(Before)

(During)

(After)

Well... Obviously Jolene did not take it too well. She was either screaming in pain or laughing in ticklishness throughout... The Tattoo Artist David thinks there is something wrong with her nervous system...

But Well Done Jolene, for enduring it through!
